Students admitted on open merit seats in the BS degree program of semester system are Eligible subject to the below criterion;

1. The student has secured a position (1st to 10th) in 1st. annual intermediate examination of respective boards of intermediate & secondary education in Pakistan.
2. The scholarship is awarded only for one academic term/semester.
3. Under this scheme, the scholarship will be awarded up to 100% of the tuition fee.
4. This scholarship scheme excludes programs in Medical and Dental Sciences.

This scholarship is applicable to new admissions of Bachelor, MS, and M. Phil degree programs in Computer Sciences, Systems Engineering, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Management Sciences, Engineering, and Media Sciences for their first semester. Students must maintain a 3.85 CGPA for the continuation of the same scholarship in their subsequent semesters.

Students of the semester system securing any position among the top 20% of the total strength of the respective intake batch in the university exam of the respective academic term are eligible subject to the below criterion;

1. These students have attained a SGPA of 3.50 or above.
2. This scholarship is awarded from 2nd term/semester onwards and is available simultaneously to students eligible for the Musabiqat Scholarship.
3. This scholarship scheme excludes programs in Medical and Dental Sciences

Students eligible for the Mumtaz Scholarship and securing any of the top three positions in exams of Riphah International University for BS/MS degree programs of the respective academic term are eligible subject to the below criterion;

1. These students have attained an SGPA of 3.71 or above.
2. There are three scholarships under this scheme available from 2nd term onward.
3. This scholarship scheme excludes programs in Medical and Dental Sciences.

Usra assistantship is awarded to real brother(s)/sister(s) of those students studying in any program of Riphah International University and paying fee simultaneously for the same semester/term.

1. It is awarded to brother(s)/sister(s) admitted later.
2. 10% assistantship on tuition fee is available to 2nd brother/sister, 20% of tuition fee to third brother/sister.

Salaar assistantship is awarded to regularly serving ranked employees/personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan studying in any MS Level Program of Management Sciences at Riphah Islamabad. The candidate has to submit proof of his/her employment/rank.

1. 25% assistantship on tuition fee is available.
2. For continuation of assistantship in subsequent terms, the student must maintain an SGPA of 3.20 in each subsequent university exam.

Assistantships under this scheme are available to students whose parents (fee sponsor) are deceased after admission to any program of Riphah International University.

1. A 50% assistantship on the Semester fee is awarded to the student every term/semester.
2. For continuation of assistantship in subsequent terms, the student must maintain an SGPA of 3.20 in each university exam

Assistantships under this scheme are available to students getting admission in any regular undergraduate program of Management Sciences and Computer Sciences.

1. The student has secured at least 60% marks in intermediate/graduation as the case may be and his/her parents are regular government employees.
2. 25% assistantship on tuition fee is available under this scheme.
3. For continuation of assistantship in subsequent terms, the student must maintain an SGPA of 3.20 in each university exam.

Assistantships are available on a need cum merit base for students who have passed at least one university exam of Riphah International University.

1. The student must prove his/her hardship to the competent authority.
2. The assistantship is awarded on tuition fee of the respective semester/term.
3. For continuation of assistantship in subsequent terms, the student must maintain an SGPA of 3.20 in each university exam.
4. The student awarded Mawakhat Assistantship must complete 01 hours of social work as per the schedule of the job assigned by the competent authority in the vicinity of Riphah International University or its sponsor IIMCT.

General Rules for Scholarships / Financial Assistance:

1. Students of institutions affiliated with Riphah International University are not eligible for any scholarship/assistantships.
2. To be considered for award of scholarship/assistantship there should be no dues outstanding against the respective student applying for scholarship/assistantship.
3. Each Riphah Student is eligible for the award of a scholarship/assistantship in one scheme.
4. Scholarship/Assistantship is not applicable to courses/semester/terms repeated by the student.
5. Students of 1st. term & students admitted on special/reserved seats are not eligible for assistantship under the “Mawakhat” scheme.
6. Once the FA Committee has given any decision it cannot be reviewed or reconsidered in that semester/term. The university has the discretion to revise its rules and regulations as deemed necessary by the authorities from time to time.

Application for Financial Assistance:

1. A student seeking financial assistance must apply for on a prescribed application form. Forms are available in the Finance Department
2. Applications for financial assistance are entertained if submitted within the first two weeks of course registration of the respective term along with 50% dues.
3. Applications must be signed by the parents/guardian of the student and enclosed with reliable proof of financial constraints & academic performance. The concerned student is communicated about the outcome of their applications in due course of time. In case assistantship is approved remaining amount must be deposited within fifteen days.
