Pharmaceutical Sciences
We offer the undergraduate 5 years degree program for those who are interested to pursue a career in the field of health and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The students with medical backgrounds can opt for this degree fulfilling the admission criteria. During their stay at RIPS (Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences), the students study various subjects and go through practical training to qualify for the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy. This degree is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and is widely accepted nationally and internationally.
The graduates can fulfill the increasing demand of retail pharmacists and they can join the government and private sector hospitals. The graduates can also continue their studies further as RIPS provides an opportunity to study up to the Ph.D. level. They can become part of the ongoing research worldwide in the Âfield of Pharmacy. Pharm-D program is recognized by the Pharmaceutical Council of Pakistan. This program is designed to develop the learning and practical skills of the current students and teach the state-of-the-art syllabus with reference to Islamic values. We have veteran and highly qualified teaching faculty.

- To provide quality education to produce pharmacists who with required skills and knowledge of Pharmaceutical Sciences and to provide effective and efficient health care services to the community, hospitals, industry and the government.
- To create facilities for conduct of bio-availability and bio-equivalence studies in order to improve quality of drugs in the country.
- To do research on Herbal/Traditional medicine for development of novel therapeutic agents and Quality Control of Herbal drugs.
- To conduct training courses for the Pharmaceutical professionals to update their skill and knowledge.

It is my privilege to lead Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS), Riphah International University, Lahore. The journey was started back in 2012, with an aim to develop a center of excellence in Pharmaceutical Education at Lahore. RIPS is a proud addition in the arena of healthcare system, research and quality teaching. The key focus areas of our institute are building of conceptual knowledge, experiential learning and the ability to innovate with novel ideas in the sphere of pharmaceutical sciences.
