Riphah International University plans to build a 600-bed hospital at Gulberg Greens Islamabad. The project will be completed in two years. A ceremony was held at Marriott Hotel Islamabad on 4th May 2018 to launch the project. Explaining the project, the Executive Director, Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT) Engr. Asadullah Khan said that this project will be a state of the art in the healthcare sector and it will deploy modern technologies including modern ventilation, heating, and cooling systems, modern drain system for natural rainwater. Proper use of daylight makes it an environment-friendly and energy-efficient project. The project will be built at Plot no PB-29, Gulberg Expressway Business Avenue Gulberg Greens Islamabad. As the first of its kind, this medical city has the capacity to provide care to a vast number of patients from both nearby and distant areas of Pakistan while also facilitating research into emerging healthcare issues. It is an excellent initiative towards promoting community welfare and providing public access to advanced healthcare facilities in Pakistan.
