Introduction

This program equips students with advanced skills in planning and implementing effective Cardio-Pulmonary Physical Therapy treatment programs, fostering a high level of competence in applying passive treatment techniques for cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. The primary focus of the program revolves around assessing the impact of research evidence concerning the management of cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders and its influence on treatment planning for individual patients. Emphasis is placed on determining the appropriate indications for treatment, devising treatment strategies, monitoring progression, and assessing prognosis and treatment outcomes. Clinical placements are integral to the program, affording students the opportunity to refine their clinical examination and treatment techniques under the guidance of experienced and certified Cardio-Pulmonary Physical therapists. Additionally, students will gain familiarity with evaluating treatment outcomes and their significance in Cardio-Pulmonary Physical Therapy practice.
