The Riphah Excel Tech Institute recently hosted a national seminar on vocational training education and international employment opportunities at Gulberg, Lahore Campus, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and education experts at Gulberg Campus, Lahore. The event highlighted the crucial role of skills development in addressing Pakistan’s economic landscape and emphasized the imminent need for international collaboration to enhance vocational training quality and scope. With a rapidly growing population and a competitive global job market, vocational training offers a practical solution to unemployment by equipping youth with globally relevant skills, empowering marginalized communities, and driving economic growth. Mr. Ahmed Nauman Anees, Director, Human Development Services and Strategy as well as Director, Riphah ExcelTech Institute opened the Seminar through detailed review of Riphah International University, it’s global footprint in terms of knowledge advancement and skills development of youth in Pakistan as well as opportunities in Pakistan and global sphere for medical and IT technologies. He also cited the rationale behind establishment of Riphah ExcelTech Institute and its roadmap in the next few years.
Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan being the Chief Guest, inaugurated the formal launch of Riphah Excel Tech Institute and the seminar, emphasizing the significance of vocational training in empowering youth and preparing them for international opportunities. Other distinguished speakers included Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, Managing Trustee & Chancellor of Riphah International University highlighted partnerships with Germany, South Korea and placement centers in the UAE. Mr. Adnan Afzal Chatha, Chairman CM Punjab Task Force on Skills Development stressed the importance of government and private sector collaboration. Ms. Rashda Lodhi, Parliamentary Secretary for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education, Punjab discussed the potential of medical technology for employment and service to humanity. Brigadier (R ) Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI (M) and Chairman TEVTA advocated for targeted reforms for rural areas and women’s inclusion in development.
