A four member team comprising of Prof. Dr. Saad Naeem Zafar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Dean Faculty of Computing, Director RISE, Dr. Muhammad Yousaf, Head of Department Software Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Musharraf Ahmed visited the University of Bremen on account of two weeks training program on the international accreditation of Computing programs from 04-15 July 2022. The visit was a part of three year project funded by the European Union and the purpose of this project is to build the capacity of Asian Universities for International Accreditation of academic programs. There are nine Asian partner universities in the project out of which three belong to Pakistan. There are two European partner universities, namely University of Bremen, Germany and University of Evora, Portugal.

The training program included a variety of activities designed to share knowledge and experience across the higher education institutions (HEIs) on program development and accreditation. Activities included simulation of program accreditation psychology, business administration and computer science, as developed by partner universities. Tours of facilities at the University of Bremen, including the LogDynamics Lab, BIBA and the State and University Library Bremen (SUB), were also included as part of sharing institutional experience among the partners. Opportunities were also given to participants to attend classes and observe examples of project based learning at the university.
