We were honored by the presence of Dr. Sarwat Jameela, the Campus Director, and Dr. Samina Nadeem, the Head of Department Female Campus GG. Their participation added immense value to the event, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and engagement among alumni and current students.

The event provided a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and strengthening the bond between the department and its alumni. This was a particularly good experience for studnets, as it showcased the diverse accomplishments of our graduates.

Syeda Hareem Abbas Shah, one of our alumnae, talked about her book of poetry named Ephemera. She mentioned that her poetry compilation is globally accessible on Amazon. Although she intended to make it available for Pakistani audiences first, it was destined to get wider accessibility. The poem she read reflected her feelings and the importance of relying on oneself. As a literature enthusiast, she is an inspiration for all students with an inclination towards literature.

Another alumna, Sarah Ashaab, shared her journey during her BS at Riphah International University. She is currently a People and Culture Executive at IGate Technologies, a UK-based company. Sarah credited her success to the leadership opportunities she received at Riphah. Her confident tone and achievements showcased her passion for work, making her an inspiration for many of our students.

Ms. Nayab Waseem specified her role as Community and Operations Manager at Daftarkhuwan. She attributed her success to her learnings at Riphah and felt honored to join this event, presenting a strong example of professional growth. Nayab’s role as the president of the department and her contributions to departmental activities groomed her personality, enabling her to take on leadership roles in her career. She expressed that her experiences at Riphah have made her a better person in both personal and professional domains.

The successful gathering highlighted the ongoing commitment of the Department of English Linguistics and Literature, Riphah International University, to fostering strong relationships and supporting the academic and professional achievements of its members.
