Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Professional Ethics & Teaching Methodology

Introduction:

The Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Professional Ethics and Teaching Methodology has been designed to equip the university teachers with sound knowledge and essential skills required for the professional field. The diploma aims at preparing teachers for contemporary educational institutions. This program offers steps to re-imagine teachers’ training and address longstanding weaknesses drawing attention to teachers and learners from numerous institutions. The diploma focuses on key attributes of effective teaching, including:

Key Objectives of the PGD Program:

After completing this course, the graduates/teachers will be able:

  • To sensitize the students regarding their ethical and professional responsibilities
  • To conduct and coordinate applied research on ethical issues in the framework of the ethical value of Islam
  • To inculcate the abilities for applying theoretical knowledge into practice to solve everyday problems
  • To fulfill the social, moral, religious, and professional responsibilities in the respective field

Scheme of Studies:

The postgraduate diploma in Professional Ethics and Teaching Methodology consists of six courses of three credit hours each, i.e., a total of 18 credit hours, with two semesters of course work and research. A tentative distribution of courses is given below:

Admission Requirements:

  1. Candidates, having Bachelor or equivalent from any HEC recognized University.
  2. Candidates working in teaching and research profession in any government and private sector University/ Organization.
  3. Candidates working in teaching or research at Riphah International University will be given preference.

Selection Process:

Admission may be offered to all faculty members and will be given to satisfy the eligibility requirements.

 

Venue: The University Secretariat will offer this program in selected cities.
