Livestock Assistant Diploma

Livestock Assistant Diploma Objectives Main objective is to improve productivity of livestock at village level through modern Animal Husbandry techniques & knowledge. Ensure a sustainable livelihood for the farmer in the village; Enhance income of the rural families and reduction in poverty at village level. However, specifically 2 years Livestock Assistant Diploma will enable the candidate to: Professionally assist DVM graduates in Veterinary hospitals, dispensaries as well in the field. Efficiently undertake prophylactic measures including seasonal vaccinations against diseases.

Treat sick animals and ensure Animal Health in field. Also perform deworming against ecto and endo parasites. Perform Artificial Insemination and advise farmer to improve reproductive health of livestock. Collect & dispatch blood, fecal samples for proper laboratory diagnosis. Impart extension education in animal breeding, feeding, disease control, management and marketing. Assist / Conduct surveys for basic data collection in the field. Organize farmer days, field days, melas etc at UC level. Avail self employment opportunity as clinician, livestock producer. Work as livestock assistant in middle east countries.
