Introduction

INTRODUCTION:

The aim of Speech-Language Pathology program is to produce graduates in the country who will be competent to identify, assess, evaluate, manage, treat, educate and help to prevent language, speech, voice, fluency, cognitive, and other related communication disorders and swallowing problems. B.S. Speech and Language Pathology program, including theory and practicum, hours of clinical work.The ability of communicating through the use of speech and language is one of the most fundamentals to personal development throughout life. Human conversation and interaction can be impaired by using a vast range of conditions, like stroke, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, and developmental delays. Speech and Language Pathologist/Therapists work with humans of all ages to assess diagnose and treat people with a range of communication disorders. Professionals can work alone or collaboration with doctors, occupational or physical therapists, teachers or special educationists, Speech and language therapist can work in a range of settings, from colleges to hospitals and different medical settings.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM:

The purpose of the Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology (BS-SLP) is to:

• Understand trends and issues related to the speech pathology.
• Attain knowledge regarding assessment, identification, and treatment of a wide variety of communication disorders.
• Understand the social and cultural bases of speech and language behaviors.
• Demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge for identification, assessment and treatment of communication disorders in closely-supervised, competency-based clinical activities on-campus setting.
• Demonstrate the ability to apply such knowledge in a variety of clinical settings.

Gain the knowledge of research, and application of the scientific methodology in the resolution of professional problems.

The semester fee is Rs 70,000 for each semester
