Riphah Professor Conducts Workshop on Educational Leadership at SIMEC 2024 in Saudi Arabia

Jazan, Saudi Arabia – Riphah International University proudly contributed to the Saudi International Medical Education Conference (SIMEC 2024) held in the beautiful city of Jazan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event, organized by the Saudi Society for Medical Education (SSME) and Jazan University, focused on promoting Interprofessional Education (IPE) and brought together global experts to share knowledge and best practices.
Prof. Dr. Yawar Hayat Khan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at Riphah International University, was honored to serve as an International Keynote Speaker and Workshop Facilitator, alongside his esteemed colleague Prof. Dr. Fadil Çitaku, CEO of the Academy of Leadership Sciences Switzerland. Together, they conducted a Pre-Conference Workshop (PCW) on Educational Leadership, marking the first such initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Khan’s keynote address highlighted the critical integration of Leadership and Quality Improvement in Interprofessional Health Education, emphasizing the transformative impact of leadership skills in healthcare education.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response from participants, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and global perspectives. Dr. Khan extended special thanks to Dr. Hassan Alzahrani, President of SSME, for his kind invitation and the exceptional hospitality provided by Jazan University.
