Riphah Strengthens International Academic Ties in Türkiye

Riphah International University continues to enhance its global academic footprint as the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Riphah International Office, actively expands its international partnerships in Türkiye.
As part of these ongoing efforts, Prof. Dr. Huma Riaz, Head of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at Riphah’s Gulberg Green Campus, Islamabad, was recently invited by Biruni University, Istanbul to present her groundbreaking research in Women’s Health Physical Therapy. In recognition of her academic contributions, she was also appointed to the university’s International Scientific Committee.
During her visit, Dr. Huma Riaz engaged in key academic meetings with senior representatives from several prestigious institutions, including:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Buket Hoca, Vice Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Biruni University
- Dr. Serup Inal, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Galata University – to whom a cultural gift was presented as a token of goodwill
- Assoc. Prof. Irna Shelenkova, Medipol University, Türkiye
- Prof. Rusu Ligia, University of Craiova, Romania – enabling new opportunities for academic exchange beyond Türkiye
These meetings reflect Riphah’s growing reputation as a center for international collaboration in the health sciences.
Adding further value to this engagement, Riphah’s DPT students currently enrolled in an international exchange program also participated in the academic conference in Istanbul, presenting their undergraduate research findings. Their active involvement showcased Riphah’s commitment to student development, research excellence, and global academic integration.
This initiative underscores the university’s dedication to fostering meaningful global partnerships, encouraging cross-cultural academic dialogue, and preparing its students to thrive on international platforms.
