Riphah International University Hosts 3rd International Conference on Psychology – ICCPMH 2025

Islamabad, May 23, 2025 — The Department of Psychology, Riphah International University, Gulberg Greens Campus, successfully organized the 3rd International Conference on Psychology for Mental Health (ICCPMH-2025) at Jacaranda Club Imperial Hall, DHA II, Islamabad. The conference centered on the theme of fostering innovations in mental health and clinical psychology, bringing together esteemed scholars, researchers, and practitioners from both national and international platforms.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Riphah International University, and Prof. Meritorious Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Vice Chancellor, University of Science and Technology, Bannu. Keynote addresses were delivered by distinguished speakers, including: Prof. Dr. Amber Haque (USA), Dr. Jamilah Hanum (Malaysia), Prof. Dr. Tahir Khalily, Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sumera Abdullah, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan.
The day featured three parallel scientific sessions where 34 research papers were presented orally, along with 24 poster presentations. A thought-provoking panel discussion, titled Tech Triggers Tawakul: Mental Health in the Age of Information, brought together prominent panelists including: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan (VC, UST Bannu), Prof. Emeritus Dr. Farhana Jahangir (University of Peshawar), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan (Peshawar Medical College), Prof. Dr. Asghar Ali Shah (Iqra University), and Brig. (R) Prof. Dr. Tanvir (NUML). Additionally, Mr. Muhammad Yasir Rauf Sethi delivered an engaging guest lecture on Innovative and Cultural Trends in Clinical Psychology for Entrepreneurs.
The conference saw participation from two international speakers representing Michigan State University (USA) and International Islamic University (Malaysia). In total, the event featured 3 national and 2 international keynote speakers, along with robust academic engagement through research presentations.
To complement the main conference, three pre-conference workshops (held on May 21) and two post-conference workshops (held on May 23) provided hands-on training and academic enrichment to attendees.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University, who applauded the collaborative efforts in promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and research in psychology.
