Thursday, 22nd May 2025
The Faculty of Computing, in collaboration with the Student Services Department (SSD), successfully organized the Open House and Job Fair 2025 at Riphah International University’s I-14 Campus on Thursday, May 22nd. The event brought together students, faculty, industry professionals, and distinguished guests for a vibrant and inspiring day dedicated to innovation, career opportunities, and professional development.
Final-year students from the BS Software Engineering, BS Computer Science, and BS Cyber Security programs showcased their capstone projects to a panel of industry experts and recruiters. These projects demonstrated practical solutions to real-world challenges and were met with strong appreciation from visiting professionals.
A number of leading companies participated in the fair, conducting on-the-spot interviews and offering internships and job placements, making the event a valuable platform for career advancement.
The event was graced by two distinguished alumni—Mr. Muazam Ishaq and Mr. Kashif Shahzad Malik—entrepreneurial leaders and members of the pioneering batch of FAST University’s Computer Science program (1997). Serving as Chief Guests, their motivational addresses and insightful feedback left a lasting impact on the students.
Guest of Honour Dr. Raheela, Director ORIC, and Dr. Naveed Ikram, Director RISE, also attended the event and took keen interest in student projects, particularly those related to the medical and cybersecurity domains.
The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of faculty members and the enthusiastic support of student volunteers. Junior students attended in large numbers, gaining valuable exposure and inspiration for their own Final Year Projects in the future.
With the blessings of Allah and the collective commitment of the Riphah community, the Open House and Job Fair 2025 marked yet another milestone in bridging academia and industry, while celebrating the talent and hard work of our graduating students.
