Resource Development
To support Tarbiyah initiatives, the Tarbiyah Resource Center (TRC) has developed a comprehensive digital repository for faculty, mentors, and students. This repository provides a range of resources, including MOOCs, books, faculty study circle presentations, and SEL workshop materials.
It also features video lectures and development programs for mentors, alongside content focused on the ethicalization of education, knowledge integration, and value-based learning. Additionally, the repository offers updates and insights on ongoing Tarbiyah activities across the university.
The following resources are available in the repository:
Professional Ethics and Morality (Online Course)
This course aims to cultivate educators who embody Islamic ethical values, ensuring the integration of moral principles into their teaching practices. Unlike conventional approaches, which often overlook the holistic dimension of ethics, Islam emphasizes the internalization of ethical values alongside professional knowledge. This course helps career educationists refine their skills, techniques, and ethical vision—essential for meaningful knowledge dissemination and quality education.
Islamic Thought and World Cultures (Online Course)
This course offers an in-depth exploration of Islamic culture, civilization, and thought. Participants will examine the epistemic foundations of Islamic knowledge, its contributions to research and development, and its influence on twentieth-century revivalist movements. The course also emphasizes the role of education in shaping societal change and fostering a deep understanding of Islamic principles, values, and ethics.
Riphah Teaching Competencies (Online Course)
Designed for Riphah faculty, this specialized training program enhances teaching abilities while integrating Islamic values for holistic student growth. Aligned with Riphah’s Aspired Student (RAS) Framework, the course fosters critical thinking, deep understanding, and reflective learning. Faculty members will:
- Understand the aims of education from both Islamic and Western perspectives.
- Integrate Riphah’s mission, vision, and core values into their teaching.
- Incorporate Islamic knowledge into course content.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Workshops
Tarbiyah Resource Center (TRC) offers ongoing SEL training to help students develop essential life skills. These workshops, tailored to departmental needs, cover personal development, communication, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, stress management, and ethical behavior. To support facilitators, TRC has developed:
- Trainer Preparation Manuals – A structured guide for workshop facilitators.
- Student Handouts – Engaging learning materials for participants.
