Zulfiqar Assistantship
Zulfiqar assistanceship is awarded to the children of Riphah/IIMCT employees seeking admission in any Program at Riphah International University.
- Candidate must be Son/Daughter of regular bona-fide employees.
- The service period of employees whose children are applying for study must be 2 years and more.
- The employee should not be on probation or under any active investigation for breach of any rule or regulation.
- The candidate must be admitted on open merit seat in any institution of organization.
- Students of affiliated institutions or students admitted on reserved/foreign seats etc shall not be eligible.
- Only one son/daughter of an employee shall be eligible for award of assistance ship under this scheme during the tenure of his service.
- Only one assistance ship is awarded in each organization program per intake, if there are more than one candidate for assistance ship in a program then the decision will be made based on academic merit.
Percentage of Financial Assistance (FA) shall be considered based on following categories:
- 50% on tuition fee under Category-1 (employment tenure 02 years to 05 years with Riphah)
- 75% on tuition fee under Category-2 (employment tenure 06 years to 08 years with Riphah)
- 100% on tuition fee under Category-3 (employment tenure more than 08 years with Riphah)
General Rules for Scholarships / Financial Assistance
- Students of institutions affiliated with Riphah International University are not eligible for any Scholarship/Assistanceships.
- To be considered for award of scholarship/assistanceship there should be no dues outstanding against the respective student applying for scholarship/assistanceship.
- Each Riphah Student is eligible for the award of a scholarship/assistanceship in one scheme.
- Scholarship/Assistanceship is not applicable to courses/semester/terms repeated by the student.
- Students of 1st. term/semester & the students admitted on special/reserved seats are not eligible for assistanceship under the “Mawakhat” scheme.
- Once the Financial Assistance Committee has given any decision it cannot be reviewed or reconsidered in that semester/term.
- The university has the discretion to revise its rules and regulations as deemed necessary by the authorities from time to time.
Application for Financial Assistance
A student seeking financial assistance must apply for on a prescribed application form. Forms are available in the Finance Department.
- Applications for financial assistance are entertained if submitted within the first two weeks of course registration of the respective term along with 50% dues.
- Applications must be signed by the parents/guardian of the student and enclosed with reliable proof of financial constraints & academic performance.
- The concerned student is communicated about the outcome of their applications in due course of time.
- In case assistanceship is approved the remaining amount must be deposited within fifteen days.
