Program Description
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Project Management is a rigorous research-focused program designed to equip scholars with advanced knowledge and expertise in project management principles, methodologies, and practices. This program prepares graduates for leadership roles in academia, industry, and consultancy, contributing to advancing project management knowledge and practices globally.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D in Project Management (PhD PM)
For Pakistani Nationals
- MS Project Management/MS Engineering Management/Equivalent (18 Years of education) from a recognized institution with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA in semester system or 70% marks in annual system. Equivalent refers to 18 years of education in a project management or engineering management related domain, such as technology management, construction management, management sciences, or related fields.
- The candidate must have carried out and successfully defended at least 6 credit hours of research work with dissertation/thesis in MS/MPhil or its equivalent degree. Candidates with non-research MS/MPhil degree will be required to qualify a research work equivalent to 3 credit hours. The credit hours will not be counted towards calculation of GPA/CGPA.
- The candidate must have completed at least three courses related to project management and one course related to research as part of their MS/MPhil or equivalent degree. Otherwise, they may be required to undertake up to four deficiency courses accordingly.

- Test, Statement of Purpose, and Interview: 70%
- The candidate must have passed the department admission test in the subject or equivalent test conducted by an authorized/recognized body of the HEC for admission in the program.

Degree Awarding Criteria
- Completed at least 18 credit hours of coursework, comprising 3 core courses (9 credit hours) and 3 elective courses (9 credit hours), in addition to a 30-credit-hour thesis.
- Obtained a CGPA of 3.0 or more.
