Program Description
The Livestock Assistant Diploma is a comprehensive two-year program designed to enhance livestock productivity and improve rural livelihoods through modern animal husbandry techniques. The program aims to empower candidates with the skills and knowledge to contribute to sustainable farming practices, reduce poverty in rural communities, and support the livestock sector.
Graduates of the program will be equipped to:
- Professionally assist veterinary doctors in hospitals, dispensaries, and fieldwork.
- Undertake disease prevention measures such as vaccinations and deworming.
- Treat sick animals and improve livestock health.
- Perform artificial insemination and advise farmers on reproductive health improvements.
- Collect and dispatch samples for laboratory diagnosis.
- Educate farmers on breeding, feeding, disease control, management, and marketing practices.
- Organize community events such as farmer days and field melas to promote livestock development.
- Pursue self-employment opportunities or work as livestock assistants in international markets, including the Middle East.
This diploma provides a pathway for individuals to contribute to the livestock industry while fostering sustainable development and economic growth in rural communities.

- Minimum 45% aggregate marks each in SSC (Matric) OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
- Relevant groups/subjects requirements: Science Subjects
