Program Description
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Riphah International University. Established in 1998, we were among the first institutions to introduce the Bachelor of Science program in Biomedical Engineering, solidifying our commitment to pioneering this dynamic field.
Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences (FEAS), offers an MS in Biomedical Engineering having specializations like Biomedical Instrumentation, Biomedical Signal Processing, and Biomaterials. Master’s degree is awarded after completion of 32 credit hours, 26 of which are coursework related and the remaining 6 credit hours are for a research thesis. To complete coursework, the student can take any from the list of offered subjects in the respective semester.
The curriculum is designed in such a way that it will equip the students with the modern requirements of the market that includes both academia and industry. The students will also be directed to a specific theme by considering the strengths and weaknesses of each student. In this regard, a research project will be assigned to them. This will also better utilize and evaluate the interests and expertise of the students, which they can later adopt as their field of specialization.
The duration, courses, and credit hours are aligned with the rules and regulations laid down by the HEC.

MS Biomedical Engineering (MS-BME)
For Pakistani Nationals
Minimum 16 years of formal education BSc in Biomedical or relevant Engineering Fields equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent
OR
MBBS / Equivalent allied sciences degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent.

Degree Awarding Criteria
