Program Description
At the national level, the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) continues to re-accredit both our engineering specializations. The latest re-accreditation visit held in 2024 resulted in PEC re-accreditation of our EE graduate batch for year 2024.
As far as the Department is concerned, academic standards and practical work are the two key parameters. The Department of EE has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, who are involved in imparting quality education. All Ph.D. faculty members of EE are foreign-qualified. The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that enables a strong theoretical foundation leading to a hands-on practical approach. This orientation has led to successful projects and pieces of training.
The lab facilities are annually upgraded and provide state-of-the-art tools and equipment for the students to learn and innovate. The Department is fully equipped with all the labs required for the curriculum such as Electronics Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Signal Processing Lab, Communication Lab, Control Systems Lab, Computer Lab, Measurement and Instrumentation Lab, and Design Project Lab etc.
For the extracurricular activities, a Departmental society has been established by the students. This society regularly conducts various technical and cultural events. “Engineers are the creators of the new world”. Going with these lines, the Department has a fully equipped Project lab to encourage the students to show their creativity. Educational tours and industrial visits are regularly organized to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and enable them to interact with the recent technologies used in the industries.
Eligibility Criteria
B.Sc. Electrical Engineering (EE)
For Pakistani Nationals
Candidates having Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence) in any of the following are eligible to apply in Electrical Engineering:
- F.Sc Pre-Engineering
- ICS (Intermediate in Computer Science)
All non FA/F.Sc stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects.
- DAE in relevant field
- A-levels (IBCC Equivalence required)
For International Students
- All international candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant subjects.

Merit / Selection Criteria
- Candidates are required to take the entry test as per PEC policy.
- Merit list will be finalized on the basis of 33% marks in entry test, 50% marks obtained in F.Sc / DAE/ A-Level and 17% of interview as per PEC.

Degree Awarding Criteria
Degree will be awarded to the students on fulfillment of the following two conditions:
- Completion of the program with min CGPA = 2.0.
- Attainment of 12 PLOs of the program as per PEC policy.
