Program Description
The Master of Science in Information Technology (MS-IT) program equips graduates with advanced skills in managing, developing, and securing modern IT systems. The program focuses on core areas such as IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems, while integrating essential leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Designed to meet the growing demand for skilled IT professionals, the program offers a balanced combination of technical coursework, industry-relevant electives, and applied research. Students gain expertise in managing IT resources, aligning technology solutions with business strategies, and addressing emerging challenges in the digital landscape.
A strong emphasis is placed on research, professional ethics, and real-world problem-solving through a supervised thesis or project. Graduates will be prepared for leadership roles in IT infrastructure management, system administration, cloud services, and enterprise solutions, as well as for doctoral studies and academic careers.
Eligibility Criteria
MS Information Technology (MSIT)
For Pakistani Nationals
- 16-years of education with 4 years degree program of BS or equivalent from HEC recognized institution of higher education (Pakistan or Abroad).
- At least a CGPA of 2.0 on the scale of 4.0 or 60% marks in the previous degree.
- Two years of relevant work experience is recommended but not necessary.
- Candidates may have to complete the deficiency coursework (other than the 32credit hours of the degree program) as determined by the admissions committee.

Merit / Selection Criteria
- Qualify GRE General type admission test conducted by the university or a valid NTS GRE Generaltest.
- Qualify the admission interview.
- Admission will depend on the candidate’s overall score in previous academic degree, admission test, and performance in the interview.
