Program Description
The MS in Computer Science (MSCS) program prepares students to deepen their knowledge and advance their expertise in specialized areas of computer science through a strong emphasis on research and practical application. It addresses the diverse challenges faced by the computing industry and society by promoting a research-driven approach to develop innovative, state-of-the-art solutions.
The curriculum integrates advanced theoretical concepts with applied skills, encouraging students to undertake original research or industry-oriented projects in areas such as security, networks, distributed systems, software engineering, data mining, and image processing. Graduates of the program are equipped with the comprehensive knowledge and skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to academic research, technological innovation, and professional practice, while adhering to ethical standards.
This program cultivates critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication abilities, enabling students to assume leadership roles in software development, research, and technology-driven organizations, or to pursue doctoral-level studies.
Eligibility Criteria
MS Computer Science (MSCS)
For Pakistani Nationals
- 16-years of education in computer science or related science and engineering discipline from HEC recognized University or degree awarding institute.
(Note: candidates may have to complete the deficiency coursework as determined by the admissions committee). - Minimum CPGA 2.0 or 60% marks in computer science or related programs equivalent to 16 years of education.
- GAT Test /University Admission Test
