Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics & Visualization (BS-CGV) program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and creative tools necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of digital media, computer graphics, animation, and visualization. This interdisciplinary program integrates computing, visual design, interactive media, and user experience development to prepare graduates for impactful roles in the digital, web-based, and immersive technology industries.
With a curriculum that balances technical design, user experience, computer graphics fundamentals, animation, augmented and virtual reality, and audio-visual processing, the program emphasizes both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Students gain expertise in designing interactive, user-centric solutions, and visualization systems for a wide range of industries including entertainment, gaming, digital marketing, education, social media, and product design.
In addition to core computing and graphics topics, students are introduced to emerging areas such as data visualization, 3D modeling, GPU programming, game development, multimedia systems, and mobile and web application development. The program also integrates ethical, legal, and professional values, developing responsible media creation aligned with Islamic principles and global standards.
Through collaborative design projects, industry-relevant internships, and hands-on workshops, the program cultivates critical thinking, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication skills. Graduates of the BS-CGV program are well-prepared to pursue dynamic careers as computer graphics professionals, UX designers, digital artists, animation specialists, game developers, and visualization experts, or to advance their studies in specialized fields of computing and creative technology. Their skillset positions them to contribute meaningfully to industry innovation and socio-economic development in both local and global contexts.
