Program Description
1. To equip the graduates with knowledge from all core areas of mathematics and some areas of artificial intelligence, so that they are prepared to pursue higher degrees in mathematical sciences and artificial intelligence. Also make them able to compete in the job market and contribute towards the economic development of Pakistan.
2. To provide a sound footing of the subject matter of mathematical theory, so that they can pursue higher degrees and research in the field of mathematics and AI.
Eligibility Criteria
BS Computational Mathematics with Artificial Intelligence (CM-AI)
For Pakistani Nationals
1. Intermediate with Mathematics, securing at least 45% marks in aggregate. Or
2. Pre-medical, securing at least 45% marks in aggregate. All such students of pre-medical must pass deficiency courses of Mathematics of 6 non-credit hours, Basic Mathematics-I and Basic Mathematics-II within one year of their regular studies (three credit hours in first semester and three credit hours in second semester). The deficiency courses should cover most of the relevant topics from intermediate level mathematics. These deficiency credit hours will result the enrollment of a student up to 21 credit hours in each semester, that is semester one and semester two. Or
3. Any other examination of a Foreign University / Institution / Examining Body, equivalent to Intermediate with Mathematics. Equivalence and percentage of marks will be determined by IBCC. Or
4. Diploma of Associate Engineering Examination, securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
5.Entry and exit point for BS Degree Holders: o As per HEC UG policy Fall 2023 ADP-Science students may be admitted in semester V, in BS-Computational Mathematics with Artificial Intelligence program in either week days or in weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) through an extra semester (bridging semester) to cover 15 to 18 credit hours deficiency courses.

Degree Awarding Criteria
a)All courses in the General Education category with titles and credit hours as prescribed in the HEC Undergraduate Education Policy V 1.1. including the course of “Pakistan Studies” must be completed.
b)Minimum of 142 credit hours as prescribed in this document must be completed.
c)Capstone of 3 credit hours must be completed in accordance with HEC Undergraduate Education Policy V 1.1. This requirement cannot be substituted with additional coursework or internship. Internship is already included in the minimum 142 credit hours prescribed for the degree program.
d)Internship of 3 credit hours must be completed in accordance with HEC Undergraduate Education Policy V 1.1. This requirement cannot be substituted with additional coursework, capstone, research or project work. Capstone is already included in the minimum 142 credit hours prescribed for the degree program.
e)CGPA must not be below 2.00/4.00 at the time of completion of the degree program. The university may however set higher standard in this regard.
f)The minimum duration to complete the degree program is 8 regular semesters and the maximum duration is 12 regular semesters. The maximum duration may further be extended in accordance with HEC semester guidelines. Summer / winter semester is not considered as a regular semester.
