Program Description
The Master of Science (MS) AI in Pharma Healthcare is an advanced interdisciplinary graduate program designed for professionals and high achieving scholars determined to drive the next generation of innovation at the nexus of pharmaceutical sciences, clinical practice, and artificial intelligence. Building on foundational expertise in computer science, data science, biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, the curriculum delivers intensive, research oriented training in state of the art AI methodologies—machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, multimodal analytics, and generative models—integrated with rigorous translational, regulatory, and ethical frameworks.
Through mentored research, industry aligned capstone projects, and clinical immersion, learners architect and deploy scalable AI solutions to complex challenges in drug discovery, PK/PD modeling, digital therapeutics, precision medicine, smart diagnostics, and health system optimization. Graduates emerge as thought leaders equipped to steer AI enabled transformation across academia, biotech, pharmaceutical R&D, healthcare systems, and regulatory bodies.
The program spans two years (four semesters) and comprises 32 credit hours. The detailed semester-wise curriculum is presented in the subsequent sections.
Aim of the Program
The MS in AI in Pharma Healthcare is an interdisciplinary program that prepares graduates to leverage artificial intelligence technologies to transform pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare systems. Students will gain proficiency in computational modeling, AI-driven drug discovery, personalized medicine, digital health, pharmacovigilance, and bioethical innovation. The program equips students with advanced skills for research, industry, and clinical applications aimed at improving patient safety, treatment outcomes, and therapeutic development.

For Pakistani Nationals
To be eligible for admission to the MS level program, a candidate: Must have 16 years of education bachelor / master’s degree in pharmacy or a relevant discipline from an HEC recognized university Degree Awarding Institute (DAI).
Shall have obtained a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 on the 4.00 scale in the semester system or a minimum of 50% marks in the annual system in the last qualifying degree. However, a department may make more stringent criteria for any of its programs under prescribed manners.
Intradisciplinary admission (if applicable): permitted only

Pharm-D/MBBS/BDS/DPT/DVM/BSN/BS-AI/BSCS
Any other equivalent degree
The admission committee deems the candidate prepared for the MS program
The candidate must have passed the University/Departmental admission test in the subject or equivalent test conducted by an authorized/recognized body of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan for admission in the program with a passing score of minimum 50%

Merit / Selection Criteria
- The admission to the program shall be made on the basis of cumulative merit to be determined from the previous academic record and prescribed written test. Moreover, the department offering admission may add interview

Degree Awarding Criteria
