Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, technical skills, and professional tools needed to plan, develop, implement, and manage modern information technology solutions across a variety of organizational environments. The program strikes a strong balance between the theoretical foundations of computing and the practical application of information systems and technologies, preparing graduates to thrive in today’s dynamic and technology-driven world.
With a comprehensive curriculum covering key areas such as programming, networking, information security, database management, system administration, and web technologies, the BSIT program ensures that students are not only proficient in fundamental IT concepts but also capable of applying emerging technologies to solve complex organizational challenges. The program further integrates Islamic ethical values and social responsibility into professional computing practice, developing graduates who are committed to both technical excellence and societal wellbeing.
In addition to core IT and computing courses, students are exposed to modern disciplines like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, mobile application development, and DevOps, placing them at the forefront of contemporary industry trends. Eligibility Criteria
BS Information Technology (BSIT)
For Pakistani Nationals
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
- All non FA/FSc stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects.
- Relevant groups/subjects requirements: Mathematics
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in Intermediate Pre-Medical (subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent 12 years education are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if admitted, are required to study additional two Mathematics courses, worth 6 credit hours, during the first year of studies at the institution. The 6 credit hours deficiency course will be counted as non-credited courses and will be reflected on student’s final transcript.
