Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Data Science (BSDS) program is designed to equip students with the interdisciplinary knowledge, technical skills, and ethical values necessary to extract meaningful insights from complex data sources and develop data-driven solutions for diverse real-world problems. The program balances theoretical foundations with practical competencies, preparing graduates to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of data science.
The curriculum covers essential areas such as data extraction, cleaning, modeling, classification, clustering, prediction, and data visualization. Students gain a strong grounding in computing fundamentals, statistics, and mathematics, alongside advanced topics like data mining, business intelligence, parallel and distributed computing, and emerging data science technologies. Emphasizing Islamic ethical principles and professional responsibility, the program ensures graduates are prepared to apply their expertise responsibly within both local and global contexts.
Through hands-on projects, lab work, and a comprehensive final year project, students develop critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills essential for success in the field. Graduates of the BSDS program are well-equipped for careers as data analysts, data scientists, business intelligence experts, or researchers, and are prepared to pursue advanced studies and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of society.
Eligibility Criteria
BS Data Science (BSDS)
For Pakistani Nationals
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
- All non FA/FSc stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects.
- Relevant groups/subjects requirements: Mathematics
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in Intermediate Pre-Medical (subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent 12 years education are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if admitted, are required to study additional two Mathematics courses, worth 6 credit hours, during the first year of studies at the institution. The 6 credit hours deficiency course will be counted as non-credited courses and will be reflected on student’s final transcript.

- Hostel charges of Rs. 216,000/semester for female and Rs. 180,000/semester for male boarders shall apply to above fee.
