Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computing principles, techniques, and modern technologies essential for solving complex problems in diverse professional environments. The program offers a balanced blend of theoretical concepts and practical skills, preparing graduates to thrive in the fast-evolving global tech industry.
With a curriculum covering essential areas such as programming, data structures, algorithms, computer networks, operating systems, artificial intelligence, software engineering, and database systems, the BSCS program ensures students develop comprehensive technical competencies. The program also integrates Islamic ethical values and social responsibilities within professional computing practice, shaping well-rounded graduates committed to societal development.
In addition to core computing disciplines, students engage with emerging fields including cybersecurity, mobile and web application development, cloud computing, and data science, positioning them to innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
Through hands-on projects, internships, and collaborative learning experiences, the program nurtures critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills. Graduates of the BSCS program are well-prepared to embark on careers as computer scientists, software engineers, system analysts, network administrators, application developers, data scientists, and cybersecurity specialists, or to pursue higher studies in specialized areas of computing. They are equipped to contribute meaningfully to both the industry and community, driving innovation and socio-economic growth.
Eligibility Criteria
BS Computer Science (BSCS)
For Pakistani Nationals
- Minimum 50% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
- All non FA/FSc stream candidates must have equivalence certificate of their qualification from IBCC, Pakistan in relevant groups/subjects.
- Relevant groups/subjects requirements: Mathematics
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in Intermediate Pre-Medical (subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent 12 years education are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if admitted, are required to study additional two Mathematics courses, worth 6 credit hours, during the first year of studies at the institution. The 6 credit hours deficiency course will be counted as non-credited courses and will be reflected on student’s final transcript.

Degree Awarding Criteria
- Must have studied and passed the prescribed courses, totaling at least 134 credit hours.
- Must have earned CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of at least 2.0 on a scale of 4.0.
