Program Description
Master of Sciences in Medical Laboratory Sciences is a program designed for students to acquire more advanced and specialized training in different specialties of a diagnostic clinical laboratory. Medical Laboratory Technologists are professionals who have the technical expertise necessary to perform a wide variety of routine and specialized tests on patient specimens to help the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Aims and Objectives:
This program aims to provide the student with expert practical training and instructions in different specialties of medical laboratory sciences. The major objective is to help students develop specialized knowledge, skill, attitude and clinical judgment required for competency as medical laboratory technologists and laboratory scientists in different fields of laboratory medicine. The program strives to prepare graduates who, using the newest methodologies, state of the art automated analyzers, critical thinking and task management, provide valid, accurate and precise test results used in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
Master of Sciences in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MS-MLS)
For Pakistani Nationals
- BSc (Hons) Medical Laboratory Technology Or
- MSc Medical Technology from any HEC Recognized University
- NTS test GAT-GENERAL 50 % score.

Degree Awarding Criteria
- Passed courses totaling at least 36 credit hours including four core courses and two additional credit hours of “Ethics in Practice” will be mandatory for all students as per university policy.
- Obtained a CGPA of 2.5 or more.
