Program Description

With rapid and ongoing advancements, Medical Imaging has become an essential component of modern medicine and is playing a key role in the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of disease. Medical Imaging Technologists are a vital part of healthcare teams – they use powerful equipment to take images of inside the body, then interpret these images to diagnose and understand patients’ health conditions. The Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology at Riphah is a 4-year undergraduate program. The purpose of this program is to equip the students with relevant professional knowledge, skills, techniques, and ethical values to enable them to apply their acquired expertise for efferent health service delivery learned through a combination of theory and clinical experience. This program combines clinical learning with hands-on training in X-rays, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA, angiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, doppler scanning, and ultrasonography. Graduates of the program can expect promising carrier as medical imaging technologists, radiographers, sonographers, medical researchers, radiation protection officers, and clinical application specialists
