Program Description
Professionalism and Ethics are important in physicians’ interaction with society and their colleagues and for the conduct of medical research. The practice of medicine and the practice of ethics are inseparable. Every clinical decision invokes an ethical decision as well. The study of professional ethics will prepare medical professionals to recognize difficult situations and to deal with them in a rational and disciplined manner. This course also addresses the ethical legal issues (Fiqh Tib). Medical ethics and the law are not the same, but often help define each other. The knowledge and skills to deal with challenging situations is essential in making of a highly professional and empathic clinician.
