MS Computer Science

The MS program in Computer Science is offered by the Department of Computer Science. The duration of this program is four semesters which is spread over two years. This program offers the opportunity of further strengthening the concepts that the students have learned during their undergraduate courses. This specific program will include advanced courses in theoretical, applied and industrial computer sciences.
Another aspect of this program is to prepare students for admission in the PhD program.

Upon completion of the prescribed MS study in Computer Science, the students should be able to:
 

1. Differentiate between good and bad software development practices and select the best one for the project under consideration.
2. Demonstrate competency in modeling complex problems, develop and implement efficient algorithms to solve these problems.
3. Get jobs in educational institutes, multinational companies and research organizations with in Pakistan and abroad.

The program consists of eight advanced level courses and each course weight is 3 credit hours where thesis (I and II) weight is 6 credit hours.

Admission Criteria:

A minimum of 16 years of education in computer science or related fields from HEC recognized university with at least 60% marks or CGPA 2.0/4.0.
