Monday, 2nd February 2026
The Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Department of the Faculty of Rehabilitation & Allied Health Sciences (FRAHS), in collaboration with the Riphah International Office (RIO), had the honor of welcoming a distinguished MED-EL (Austria) delegation to Riphah International University, Gulberg Green Campus.
During the visit, an engaging workshop on Aural Rehabilitation for Children with Hearing Impairment was conducted in the presence of Prof. Dr. Asghar Khan and his team. The workshop provided valuable hands-on learning opportunities for students and faculty, focusing on contemporary practices and innovations in auditory rehabilitation. The session concluded with certificate distribution to participating students in recognition of their active involvement.
This academic engagement builds upon a strong foundation already established through a series of five expert lectures delivered by MED-EL specialists, including four online sessions and one on-site lecture, reinforcing Riphah’s commitment to continuous professional development and international academic exposure.
The delegation also participated in a guided campus tour and held a strategic meeting with Prof. Dr. Yawar Hayat. The visit concluded with a mutual agreement to initiate a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and explore long-term academic and clinical collaboration, marking a significant milestone in strengthening Riphah International University’s global partnerships.
The university extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Humaira Kiyani (SLP) and her team for their exemplary leadership, coordination, and efforts in making the visit a success.
