Wednesday, 14th January 2026
In line with the visionary guidance of the Honorable Chancellor, Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, to transform Masājid into dynamic and impactful community centers, Riphah International University took a significant first step by hosting a Roundtable Session with A’immah al-Masājid on 14 January at its I-14 Campus.
The session was organized by the Tarbiyah Resource Centre (TRC) in collaboration with DIS and SGAC, with the objective of reinforcing the role of Masājid in leadership development, community guidance, and social responsibility. The initiative aimed to foster a meaningful and constructive dialogue between religious leadership and academia, recognizing the Masjid as a pivotal institution for holistic community development.
The roundtable was led by the Honorable Chancellor, Hassan Muhammad Khan, along with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad. The event was attended by respected A’immah from various localities, who actively participated in discussions on contemporary challenges and opportunities for Masājid in serving society beyond traditional roles.
As a continuation of this initiative, Riphah International University will soon launch a Certificate Course for A’immah as the second phase of the program. The course is designed to enhance the professional and leadership capacities of A’immah and will focus on the following key areas:
- Soft Skills Development
- Worldview and Conceptual Framework
- Experiential Learning and Community Engagement
- Masjid as a Community Center
This initiative reflects Riphah International University’s commitment to integrating religious leadership with modern educational frameworks, ultimately strengthening the social, moral, and intellectual fabric of the community.
