Riphah International University Hosts 27th International Multi-Topic Conference (INMIC) 2025

Islamabad — The Faculty of Computing (FC), Riphah International University, successfully organized the 27th International Multi-Topic Conference (INMIC) 2025 on December 23–24, 2025 at its I-14 Main Campus, Islamabad. The conference was held under the technical sponsorship of IEEE, reaffirming INMIC’s status as Pakistan’s premier international forum for research and innovation in science, engineering, and technology.
INMIC 2025 brought together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and postgraduate scholars from Pakistan and abroad to present cutting-edge research, exchange ideas, and foster academic–industry collaboration. The two-day conference featured keynote talks, panel discussions, technical paper presentations, and hands-on workshops addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in modern computing and engineering disciplines.
Conference Tracks and Research Scope
The conference covered a broad range of contemporary and emerging research areas through multiple parallel tracks, including:
- Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Applications
- Software and Systems Engineering
- Cyber Security and Network Security
- Parallel, Distributed, and Cloud Computing
- Biomedical, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering
Across these tracks, a large number of peer-reviewed research papers were presented, highlighting innovations in areas such as generative AI, healthcare analytics, cybersecurity, intelligent systems, smart agriculture, cloud computing, biomedical signal processing, and emerging communication technologies.
Distinguished Keynote Speakers
INMIC 2025 featured an exceptional lineup of internationally renowned keynote speakers:
- Prof. Dr. Khalid Malik, Professor of Computer Science and Director of Cybersecurity, University of Michigan–Flint, delivered a keynote on human-centered neuro-symbolic AI and rebuilding trust in the age of generative AI. His talk highlighted applications in healthcare analytics and multimedia forensics.
- Prof. Dr. Bernard (Jim) Jansen, Principal Scientist at Qatar Computing Research Institute, presented a keynote titled “Building Smart Educational Organizations: The Potential of Generative AI”, offering insights into how AI-driven analytics can transform educational ecosystems.
- Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor, Salim Habib University, addressed the audience on AI and the exploitation of web services, sharing his perspectives on digital transformation, academic leadership, and technology-driven education.
Panel Discussion and Leadership Engagement
A high-level panel discussion on “Future of AI: Opportunities and Challenges” was held, featuring prominent academics and industry experts. The opening session also included addresses by senior leadership of Riphah International University, including the Vice Chancellor, and representatives from IEEE Islamabad Section, underscoring the university’s commitment to research excellence and global engagement.
Industry-Focused Workshops
INMIC 2025 also offered a comprehensive series of hands-on workshops led by academia and industry experts, enabling participants to gain practical skills alongside theoretical insights. Key workshops included:
