Echoes of Qur'an: Fostering Reflection, Learning, and Spiritual Unity
Thursday, 27th November 2025
The Life & Living Department of Riphah International University, Lahore Campus, successfully hosted the spiritually uplifting "Echoes of Qur'an" event on November 27. Held under the noble motto, "خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه" (The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it), the event was a powerful demonstration of the students' dedication to Islamic learning.
The primary objective of the initiative was to foster a deeper spiritual connection with the Holy Qur'an among students by creating a serene and reflective environment on campus. It aimed to promote reflection, learning, and unity by allowing the recitation and message of the Qur'an to "echo within hearts".
The campus was brought to life with 50 creative stalls, each one a testament to the students’ dedication, creativity, and spiritual passion. The stalls reflected meaningful effort and learning that extended far beyond the traditional classroom setting. Various departments participated, presenting unique interpretations of Quranic teachings, covering subjects from Islamic economic systems and wealth distribution to the attributes of the servants of the Most Merciful. The overall theme of the exhibition was "From Revelation to Reflection".
The Heads of Departments (HODs) from RIU Gulberg visited every display, deeply appreciating the students' creativity and hard work. The participants were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, who brought valuable expertise in Qur'anic recitation, Tajweed, and youth engagement. The evaluation focused on the accuracy of Tajweed, clarity of voice, emotional expression, confidence, and audience connection, with constructive feedback provided to motivate the participants.
The "Echoes of Qur'an" event was a resounding success, highlighting Riphah International University's commitment to nurturing not just academic excellence, but also the spiritual and ethical development of its students. The university extends its sincere gratitude to the Life & Living Department and all participating departments for their collaborative effort in making this event a significant spiritual milestone for the campus community.
