Riphah Co-Hosts Rectors’ Conference 2025, Joining National Efforts to Shape the Future of Higher Education

Riphah International University participated as a co-host at the 6th Rectors’ Conference 2025, held in Islamabad, a significant gathering that brought together higher education leaders, policymakers, and international delegates to shape the future direction of Pakistan’s higher education landscape. The conference, organized by the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), highlighted national priorities and collective aspirations for strengthening the quality, governance, and global engagement of universities across the country.
The event was hosted at the COMSTECH Headquarters, with special appreciation extended to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudry, Director General COMSTECH, for providing an exceptional venue and for his continued visionary leadership in advancing Pakistan’s higher education and scientific collaboration.
Riphah International University’s presence at the conference was marked by impactful contributions, including a thoughtful address by Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, Chancellor of Riphah International University, who emphasized the importance of ethical leadership and value-driven governance in shaping future-ready institutions. Additionally, Mr. Asad Ullah Khan, Executive Director, IIMCT, delivered an insightful presentation showcasing Riphah’s 25-year journey of excellence, highlighting key milestones, academic growth, and the University’s consistent commitment to quality education.
The conference brought together over 170 Vice Chancellors and Rectors, along with international delegates from 27 countries, creating a highly dynamic and diverse platform for dialogue. Discussions throughout the event addressed a wide range of pressing themes, including governance and accountability within higher education institutions, curriculum modernization, strengthening research ecosystems, enhancing international academic collaboration, and empowering youth through skills development and entrepreneurship supported by national initiatives.
