Riphah Celebrates World Radiography Day 2025
Friday, 28th November 2025
The Department of Medical Imaging Technology at Riphah International University proudly celebrated World Radiography Day 2025 under the theme “Empowering Healthcare Through Imaging Excellence.” The event brought together students, faculty members, and distinguished guests for a vibrant and meaningful celebration honoring the vital role of radiographers in modern healthcare.
The program began with an insightful opening note by Dr. Ramish Riaz, Head of the Department, who emphasized the growing importance of radiographers, the rapid evolution of imaging technologies, and the Department’s continued commitment to excellence in both academic training and clinical practice. His remarks set an inspiring tone for a day dedicated to learning, creativity, and professional growth.
Students actively participated through model and poster competitions, showcasing creative and technically rich work that highlighted emerging trends in medical imaging, radiation safety protocols, AI applications, and advancements in imaging techniques. Their efforts reflected a deep understanding of the field and the innovative spirit of the department.
Adding a creative dimension to the event, students also performed educational skits demonstrating the importance of medical imaging in evidence-based clinical decision-making. These performances not only engaged the audience but effectively illustrated key radiology concepts in an interactive and memorable way.
A notable highlight of the celebration was a presentation by a final-semester student on the application of Artificial Intelligence in Radiology, demonstrating how AI is transforming diagnostic workflows, enhancing accuracy, and supporting improved patient care through automation and advanced image analysis.
The Department was honored to welcome Mr. Faheem Arsalan, Project Manager at Medequips, as the Chief Guest. He conducted an inspiring career counseling session for seventh-semester students, offering valuable guidance on career planning, essential skills for the workplace, and opportunities within the imaging sector. His insights were greatly appreciated by students preparing for their final semester and future professional roles.
Riphah International University extends its sincere appreciation to all participants, faculty organizers—especially the Chief Organizer, Miss Shumail Saeed—and the Chief Guest for contributing to a meaningful and successful celebration of World Radiography Day. Special thanks are also extended to Prof. Dr. Asghar Khan, Dean FRAHS, and Prof. Dr. Arshad Nawaz Malik, Principal FRAHS, for their continuous support, guidance, and commitment to providing outstanding opportunities for students and faculty in Medical Imaging Technology.
