Riphah Student Wins FinTech Category at the National AI Wrapper Competition 2025

Riphah International University proudly announces that Muhammad Zulqarnain Ahmed, a second-semester student of the Riphah School of Leadership (RSL) at the Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS), Al-Mizan Campus, Rawalpindi, has achieved an outstanding victory by securing First Place (Winner) in the FinTech Category of the prestigious AI Wrapper Competition 2025. Organized by Ignite – National Technology Fund under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, the competition marked one of Pakistan’s largest and most impactful national initiatives dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence and empowering young innovators.
The AI Wrapper Competition 2025 brought together exceptional talent from across the country, reshaping Pakistan’s innovation landscape through a unified national effort to build an AI-powered future. This year witnessed remarkable participation, with 1,712 teams representing 106 cities and submitting a total of 2,889 AI projects. Regional rounds held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, and Peshawar showcased transformative ideas in EdTech, HealthTech, GovTech, Climate & AgriTech, and FinTech. From these regional qualifiers, the top 50 teams advanced to the Grand Finale, where participants presented high-impact AI solutions to industry experts and national leaders in technology.
Among the most competitive categories, FinTech highlighted solutions aimed at strengthening digital inclusion, improving financial analytics, and creating smarter, more secure financial systems. In this category, Riphah’s student, Muhammad Zulqarnain Ahmed, emerged as the national champion with his project Quant Fusion Analytics, earning the top spot ahead of OfficeFlow AI (1st Runner-up) and Mir Global AI Lab (2nd Runner-up). His innovative approach and technical excellence demonstrated the potential of AI-driven financial solutions to bring meaningful advancements to Pakistan’s evolving digital economy.
This recognition reflects both the exceptional talent of Riphah students and the University’s continued dedication to strengthening Pakistan’s technological capacity.
