RCIB Conducts Awareness Session on Islamic Banking & Finance for Local Business Community

The Riphah Centre of Islamic Business (RCIB) successfully organized an Awareness Session on Islamic Banking and Finance for the local business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Small Industries and Small Traders (ICSI&ST). The initiative aimed to equip small traders and entrepreneurs with practical knowledge of Shariah-compliant financing solutions to support business growth and efficient working capital management.
The session was led by Dr. Syed Hassan Jamil, Head of RCIB, and Mr. Mansoor Khan Jadoon, Senior Lecturer in Islamic Finance and Focal Person for Trainings & Industrial Liaison at RCIB.
During the session, Dr. Syed Hassan Jamil emphasized RCIB’s ongoing commitment to promoting Islamic business practices and strengthening communities through impactful awareness and capacity-building initiatives.
Mr. Mansoor Khan Jadoon delivered an insightful talk on the foundational principles of Islamic finance. He explained the key differences between conventional and Islamic banking systems, focusing on ethical financing, risk-sharing mechanisms, and asset-backed transactions as core features of Shariah-compliant financial frameworks.
Participants expressed appreciation for the clarity provided in addressing common concerns and misconceptions related to Islamic financial products. Members of ICSI&ST showed keen interest in arranging more frequent sessions to further enhance their understanding of Islamic economic practices.
