Riphah International University, Islamabad, is proud to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), marking a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, scientific innovation, and global engagement.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University, and Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of COMSTECH.

This strategic partnership will promote joint initiatives across a range of key areas, including:

• Establishment of a Technology Park
• Joint Research Endeavors

Importantly, this collaboration will also engage OIC Member States, thereby expanding its impact to the broader Muslim world. The initiative aims to pave the way for collaborative scholarship, capacity-building, and innovation-led development among OIC countries.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary highlighted the significance of the partnership in strengthening scientific capacity and promoting innovation across the Muslim world. He emphasized that such collaborations are essential for addressing contemporary global challenges through research, knowledge, and technology.

Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad reiterated the importance of building robust linkages between academic institutions and international organizations. He noted that such partnerships are crucial for preparing societies to navigate the transformations of a rapidly changing world, while remaining grounded in ethical and Islamic values.

This MoU reflects Riphah’s continued dedication to advancing knowledge that is both globally relevant and ethically anchored, opening new opportunities for faculty, researchers, and students alike.
