In a continued effort to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and research excellence, Riphah International University proudly hosted the Regional Round of the World Startup Championship 2025 at its I-14 Campus. The prestigious event was held in collaboration with See Pakistan, a nationwide platform dedicated to nurturing student-led startups across the country.

The day began with a vibrant Opening Ceremony, where Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Director of Riphah I-14 Campus, warmly welcomed participants and reaffirmed the university’s mission to empower youth through innovation and entrepreneurial development.

Mr. Ammar Jaffri, former Director of FIA, addressed the audience with an inspiring keynote on embracing technology and entrepreneurial thinking. Mr. Amir Anzur, Chief Marketing Officer at Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), encouraged young entrepreneurs to “take the path with the most and best learning,” while also commending the Riphah organizing team for executing a smooth, professional, and high-energy event.

Special guest Mr. Saleem Raja also graced the occasion, sharing insightful perspectives on self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

Following the ceremony, participants moved into their Pitch Presentation Rounds, held across five parallel sessions. Over 20 seasoned judges, including investors, industry leaders, and startup mentors, evaluated the innovative ideas and entrepreneurial solutions presented by emerging student teams.

The event concluded with a souvenir distribution ceremony, acknowledging the contributions of judges and esteemed guests. Mr. Fakhar Abbas from See Pakistan expressed gratitude to Riphah International University for its unwavering support and dedication to empowering the next generation of innovators.

With exceptional turnout, high-caliber ideas, and dynamic engagement from all stakeholders, the event underscored Riphah’s role as a national leader in cultivating innovation, entrepreneurship, and enterprise.
