Riphah International University is proud to announce that 14 of its distinguished faculty members have been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists, according to the latest global rankings compiled by Stanford University and published through Elsevier. The list is based on single-year 2025 citation impact.

This recognition reflects Riphah’s steady commitment to academic excellence, high-impact research, and global scholarly contribution. Eight of the 14 researchers were also recognized in last year’s list, which shows consistent research impact. The other six are new additions this year.

• Clinical Medicine (5 scientists): Muhammad Furqan Akhtar and Muhammad Farhan Sohail work in pharmacology and pharmacy. Ayesha Fahim, Muhammad Ali Kashif, and Rehan Ahmed Khan work in general and internal medicine.
• Information & Communication Technologies (3 scientists): Muhammad Qaisar Azeem, Tahira Nazir, and Kifayat Ullah work in artificial intelligence and image processing.
• Physics & Astronomy (3 scientists): Sikander A. Azam, Junaid Munir, and Hamid Ullah work in applied physics.
• Chemistry (1 scientist): Abid Zaman works in organic chemistry.
