Faculty of Management Sciences Hosts Awareness Session on Consumer Protection and Digital Safety

The Riphah School of Leadership (RSL), Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS), Al-Mizan Campus, successfully hosted an awareness session titled “Consumer Protection & Digital Safety: Empowering the Youth” in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of important issues related to fair treatment of financial consumers, secure digital payments, and consumer rights in modern banking. The initiative provided students with practical insights into responsible participation in the evolving digital financial landscape.
Distinguished Speakers Share Valuable Insights
The session featured a distinguished lineup of speakers from the State Bank of Pakistan and NBP Staff College, Islamabad, who shared their expertise with the students:

The speakers highlighted the vital role of young people in adopting safe digital payment practices, understanding their financial rights, and mitigating risks associated with digital financial services.
Empowering Youth Through Financial Awareness
The awareness session reflected the growing importance of financial and digital literacy among young people. Through discussions on consumer protection and digital safety, students were encouraged to develop greater awareness of their rights and responsibilities as users of financial services.
The event was organized by the newly appointed SBP Student Ambassadors from Riphah International University, providing them with an opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial awareness initiatives within the university community.

The event was attended by the Dean of FMS, Head of Department (RSL-FMS), and faculty members, who supported and appreciated the initiative and its focus on equipping students with relevant knowledge for the digital financial environment.
In recognition of their efforts in organizing and facilitating the program, tokens of appreciation were presented to the student ambassadors.
