RIPS Lahore Showcases Student Innovation at Pharma Fusion 2026 Inter-Campus Academic & Research Exhibition

The Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS), Lahore, successfully organized Pharma Fusion 2026 – Inter-Campus Academic & Research Exhibition on 17 June 2026, bringing together students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, and industry representatives from the Gulberg and Raiwind campuses. The event provided a dynamic platform for Pharm.D students to showcase their academic, research, and product development projects while promoting innovation, scientific inquiry, and interdisciplinary learning.
Pharma Fusion 2026 featured 76 projects across four key disciplines: Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy-I (Herbarium), and Pharmacognosy-II. The exhibition attracted approximately 250 student participants and more than 100 visitors and guests, highlighting the growing culture of research and innovation within RIPS.
The primary objectives of the event were to promote research and innovation among Pharm.D students, provide experiential learning opportunities through project-based activities, strengthen scientific communication and presentation skills, and encourage collaboration between academia, healthcare institutions, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Students presented innovative projects addressing contemporary healthcare and pharmaceutical challenges through evidence-based approaches and scientific research. The exhibition demonstrated the academic capabilities, creativity, and professional potential of future pharmacists while fostering meaningful interactions between students and industry experts.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Omer Farooq, Regional Director, RIU Lahore, who visited the project displays and appreciated the students’ innovative efforts and achievements. A distinguished panel of healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals evaluated the projects and provided valuable industry feedback, enriching the learning experience for participants.
The success of Pharma Fusion 2026 was made possible through the dedication and mentorship of RIPS faculty members, who guided students throughout the project development process. Their commitment played a vital role in fostering academic excellence and preparing students for professional practice and research careers.
The exhibition concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding projects in each category. Winning projects included innovative research on mental health awareness among Pharm.D students, healthcare professionals’ knowledge regarding HPV vaccination, natural product-based formulations, and novel pharmaceutical technologies designed to address healthcare challenges.
Special appreciation was extended to Dr. Fareeha Anwar, Head of Department, RIPS Gulberg Campus, and Dr. Furqan Akhtar, Head of Department, RIPS Raiwind Campus, for their visionary leadership, continuous support, and guidance throughout the planning and execution of the event.
Pharma Fusion 2026 successfully achieved its objectives by creating a vibrant environment for research dissemination, innovation, and experiential learning.
