Department of Digital Learning Conducts Training Session for DELL Faculty at I-14 Main Campus

The Department of Digital Learning (DDL) conducted a comprehensive faculty training session for the Department of English Linguistics and Literature (DELL) at the I-14 Main Campus, Islamabad.
Faculty members from both the I-14 Main Campus and Gulberg Green Campus actively participated in the session, which focused on Digital Learning Initiatives and Course Authoring With Curated Content.
The training was part of an ongoing series of faculty development initiatives being organized by DDL across various academic departments and faculties of the university to strengthen digital learning practices and promote innovative approaches to course development.
The DDL team included:
- Muhammad Saud Khan — Director, Digital Learning
- Mubashir Ahmad — Manager, Digital Learning & Design
- Arslan Hamid Butt — Assistant Manager, Audio/Video Productions
- Sayyed Abul Aala — Assistant Manager, Educational Technology
During the session, the DDL team briefed participants on the department’s ongoing initiatives and services, covering in detail the process of Course Authoring With Curated Content. Faculty members engaged in interactive discussions and raised various questions regarding implementation, instructional practices, and digital course development.
The Digital Course Authoring With Curated Content initiative enables faculty and staff to design high-value digital courses by curating, organizing, and contextualizing credible publicly available third-party learning resources from reputable sources. This approach helps reduce duplication of effort while maintaining academic rigor, instructional coherence, and quality learning experiences.
The Department of Digital Learning supports faculty authors in multiple areas, including:
- Content evaluation and quality assurance
- Copyright and licensing considerations
- Instructional alignment and course structuring
- Learning Management System (LMS) implementation and support
Through these initiatives, DDL continues to facilitate the university’s broader vision of integrating innovative digital learning methodologies into academic delivery and faculty development.
