The Faculty of Computing (FC) at Riphah International University, I-14 Main Campus, successfully organized an industrial seminar titled “AI in Action: Transforming Industries with NLP, Computer Vision, and Agentic AI” on 5 May 2026.

The seminar was designed to provide students with industry-oriented insights into the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence across modern industries and emerging technology ecosystems. The session focused on advanced AI domains including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), and Agentic AI, highlighting their growing applications in automation, intelligent decision-making, and innovation-driven solutions.

The Faculty was honored to host Mr. Muhammad Waqas, AI Developer at IT Solera Pvt. Ltd., as the guest speaker for the seminar. During the session, Mr. Waqas shared valuable professional insights into current AI trends, practical implementations, and real-world use cases demonstrating how intelligent systems are reshaping industries through data-driven technologies and automation frameworks.

Students gained exposure to the practical applications of NLP, Computer Vision, and Agentic AI in various sectors, enabling them to better understand the future direction of Artificial Intelligence and its role in solving complex business and operational challenges. The seminar also provided participants with guidance on emerging career opportunities, required technical skillsets, and industry expectations in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
