Tarbiyah Insights ‘26: Strengthening Institutional Ties for Youth Character Building
Tuesday, 5th May 2026
The Tarbiyah Resource Center at Riphah International University successfully organized the "Tarbiyah Insights '26" event on May 5, 2026. Chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, the session aimed to foster collaboration and share best practices for holistic upbringing and character development across various educational and social sectors.
The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including:
- Universities: Bahria University, Dawah Center for Women (IIUI), Shifa Tameer-e-Millat, and Al-Hamd Islamic University.
- NGOs: Read Foundation, Ghazali Education Foundation, HHRD, HIN, Al-Khidmat, AFAQ, and CEF.
- Institutes: Tadbeer Institute and Baseerah Institute.
During the event, participating institutions delivered presentations focusing on three core aspects of their respective Tarbiyah models: Activities, Methodology, and Impact. Hafiz Dr. Waqas Khan, HOD of the Tarbiyah Resource Center, presented Riphah’s own structured model, providing insights into impactful institutional practices.
An interactive Q&A session allowed participants to engage in meaningful dialogue and exchange practical ideas for character and leadership development.
The session concluded with keynote remarks from Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, who emphasized the critical need for integrating Tarbiyah and experiential learning into educational frameworks.
Moving forward, the participants reached a strong consensus on several joint initiatives:
- Establishing a Central Repository for sharing Tarbiyah-related data and research.
- Developing a dedicated network or forum for ongoing collaboration.
- Initiating joint ventures for Tarbiyah interventions across institutions.
