Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to professional outreach and talent acquisition, the Information Services Department (ISD) of Riphah International University successfully participated in the Career Fair 2026, hosted by the University of Sargodha (UOS).

The Riphah delegation was led by Mr. Muhammad Farooq (Director ISD), accompanied by Mr. Khurram Shahzad (Deputy Director), Mr. Zahoor Ahmad (Manager), Mr. Khalid Hameed (Manager), and Hafiz Ihsan Samad (Deputy Manager).

During the event's inauguration, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha visited the Riphah ISD booth, where he was briefed on the university’s latest academic and digital initiatives. To mark the occasion and foster inter-university relations, the ISD team presented a formal souvenir to the Vice Chancellor.

The Chairman of the Department of Information Management (UOS) also extended his gratitude to the Riphah team for their active presence and contribution to the fair’s success.

The Riphah booth served as a primary hub for student engagement and recruitment, yielding impressive results:

• Recruitment Drive: Over 70 candidates applied specifically for roles within the ISD, while an additional 160 CVs were collected for various other departments across Riphah International University.
• Student Outreach: More than 500 students visited the booth to learn about Riphah’s innovative service models and academic culture.
• Knowledge Sharing: Mr. Muhammad Farooq delivered a specialized session at the Wazir Agha Library titled, “Reimagining Libraries: Information Services Best Practices at Riphah.”

The technical session drew significant interest from library professionals, including Dr. Uzma Shahzadi (Director Academics / Chief Librarian, UOS). Dr. Shahzadi commended Riphah’s advanced information systems and expressed a strong interest in establishing future collaborative frameworks between the two institutions.

This successful participation underscores Riphah International University’s leadership in modernizing information services and its dedication to providing career opportunities for the next generation of professionals.
