Riphah International University is proud to announce a new international partnership following the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Maldives National University. This collaboration marks the beginning of the journey toward the Hybrid Boutique International Conference on Medical Education (ICME 2026).

The virtual signing ceremony, held on April 16, 2026, brought together senior leadership from both prestigious institutions to solidify their commitment to advancing medical education globally.

The upcoming conference, scheduled for October 26–27, 2026, will be hosted in the Maldives. As a "Hybrid Boutique" event, ICME 2026 is designed to foster high-level innovation, knowledge exchange, and networking among the world’s leading medical educators, researchers, and practitioners.

The ceremony was graced by the leadership of both universities:

• From Riphah International University: Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan (Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Yawar Hayat Khan (Dy. Vice Chancellor Academics & President ICME), and Deans Prof. Dr. Rahila Yasmeen, Prof. Dr. Rehan Ahmed Khan, and Prof. Dr. Najm Us Saqib Khan, alongside the ICME management team.
• From The Maldives National University: Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Raheema Abdul Raheem (Deputy Vice Chancellor), and Dr. Mariyam Shahuneeza Naseer (Dean of Research).
